Well here we are another offseason of Dolphins Football another wasted year.
Once again the aqua and blue are only good for another disappointment.
Not even our uniforms are good, with a logo that fans dislike but the owner refuses to change.
Gone are the titles and even playoff years, replaced by a jet looking Dolphin that looks more like an airplane than the logo we all fell in love with.
The worst part of the situation is that the team's outlook is dark and bleak, with players/mercenaries, that do not care about the fan base that supports them blindly each year.
We are a team with cap space issues, a soft offensive line, a very fragile quaterback, and the clear inability to draft well.
Is there any hope ?
Unless we get lucky in the draft and we finally hit on a gem of a player, it seems that there is no hope, we haven't drafter a star player, future Hall of famer since .....I can't really remember.
Coach Mike Mcdaniel seems like a great guy, but at the end of the day it comes down to winning and when the chips are down and it matters, we can not win.
We need to get back to physical football,as a team we fear 3rd and one. we can not get a yard to save our lives.
We need to be confident that our team is physical enough to bring punishment to our opponents that thirda down less than a yard is an advantage, not a moment of fear and ineptitude as we have seen the last 3 years.
Coach weren't you a brilliant run coordinator ? what happened ? maybe our offensive offensive line has a lot to do with it.
Another issue is that apparently we have issues watching a replay, is not possible that he loses on every challenge, who the hell is advising him? if I can judge from my couch that we should not challenge then why cant our Coaching staff make a wise decision?
As of today we are a finesse team with a gimmick offense, that every defensive coordinator has figured out, and that apparently can not be adapted we seem to be a one trick pony.
As for Tua, sad to say but the questions still remain, yes he has had moments of brilliance but never against top notch opponents. He still needs to climb the mountain, I am just not sure we can wait for him to do so.
But for now Tua is our guy, so he needs to realize we are dependant on him, and stop taking stupid chances, we don't need him to be tough, we need him to be vertical.
I once thought skyler Thompson was a hopeful prospect but than again I am not a professional and I did not see him on a day to day basis, who thought he was a good prospect? who ever thought he was ready was clearly wrong and we paid dearly for that mistake.
To me we are years away from competing with the big boys, and the lack of hope is crushing my soul,
hopefully a long offseason will help me forget the debacle that the 2024 season was.
It seems as if the future is bleak we are an old team, with injury. prone players, unless Greer hits on all his draft picks its going to be another long year.
Superbowl ....not likely but we can hope.
